Sound Engineering and PianoSam has been a musician all of his life starting with piano training as a pre-teen. He went on to study brass (trumpet and french horn) and woodwinds (saxophones, clarinet, and flutes) in high school. He received his undergraduate BA from the University of Denver where he furthered his musical horizons by performing in multiple bands on keyboards and woodwinds as well as honing his recording, composition, and arranging skills. He has also taken multiple Pro Tools certification classes at USC, Los Angeles, CA. He is an AVID Pro Tools Certified Instructor with expertise in the User, Operator, Expert, and Dolby Atmos levels in both music and post production, and has been certifying his students in Pro Tools for the past 15 years. Sam has also worked in live sound and lighting, serving as the Director of a 700 seat Performing Arts Center for the past 17 years. For over 30 years, he has owned and operated an audio recording studio; providing tracking, mixing, and mastering services. Also he is a composer of multiple music genres, musical arranger, session musician on all keyboard types and woodwinds (saxophones and flutes). His students over the years have found his love for music to be contagious and many have found their way into the audio industry as a result.
