Guitar & UkuleleI am a lifelong player of the guitar who has dedicated the last 15 years to diversifying my music skills and developing better guitar curriculum. I have attained certifications in classical guitar in California and completed education at Berklee School of Music. My passion for learning to play and teach diverse music has led me the Espacio flamenco school of Portland, the Katori Japanese Music school of Portland, the Online Academy of Irish Music, and more. There is no end to what we can learn!
I particularly love working with children and new music learners to plant the seed of a lifelong love for music. I want to bring the world to each guitarist’s mind and fingers by exploring and teaching music from diverse places and cultures, but I also want to help them make the music they love. “I’m a firm believer that music binds communities and has the potential to tear down man-made barriers.”When I am not playing and teaching music and being a mom of 4 amazing kids, I enjoy traveling, hiking, fitness, and serving in my community.
