  • I have been teaching piano for over 10 years and my philosophy is that music must always be a mixture of fun and self-discipline. As an instructor my goal is to bring out the natural curiosity of a student and allow them to lead their own growth on the path they choose in music.

My favorite thing about teaching music is that I get to gift the students the magical feeling we all get when we finally perfect that favorite song or piece of music. Seeing the student’s face light up when they finally “get it” is priceless, and nostalgic.

Music means more to me than just about anything or anyone else on earth; it has always been there to brighten up my day or comfort me in dark days, it has always given me a sense of purpose on this earth and a means to help heal myself and others through sound.

Music education is very important in my opinion because a lot of the skills learned can transfer over to any skill that may be vital in any person’s life (ex. for school or work). Playing music is also a great way for people from all backgrounds to socialize and make connections with others in new ways that normal conversations can’t achieve. Music tends to connect us all despite our differences, and the world needs more of that.

    “About me”

Cristian was born and raised in a small town in Central California where he began learning guitar at the age of 12, and after 2 years began to teach himself violin and piano.
A few years later, he began taking lessons from Russian concert pianist Svetlana Rudikova before attending College of the Sequoias in Visalia, CA where he majored in piano performance and collaborated with choirs, jazz bands and instrumentalists. As he went to college, he also played guitar in his metal band MMM where he toured around California occasionally. After some years, Cristian began teaching more seriously and officially started his own lessons studio for piano. Cristian’s favorite genres of music are classical, metal, reggae, rock and EDM, but can always be found listening to the most obscure music found around the world.
