80′s Camp (July 22-26)

We have hopped in Bill and Ted’s time machine and are bringing back the 1980’s with a bang.  The Cars, Blondie, Bangles, Police, Belinda Carlisle and many more are jumping into our telephone booth and their songs and sounds will be dropped off at YMP’s doorstep.  Students will be totally psyched to learn songs from the 1980’s.  No matter what musical level, all students K-12 are welcome to join this rocking camp.  Boys and girls alike will be stoked to learn how to play songs like Crazy Train, Back in Black and I Love Rock and Roll.  Students will immerse themselves in art of the 80’s by screen printing their own band t-shirts, making band posters, and designing their own band stickers.  If your student is ready to rock, sign up for this totally awesome 80’s week.

The Instrument Specific option for each camp will play songs by the specific band, theme or artist but instead of playing with a band they take classes together with students who are playing the same instrument as them (guitar, drums or piano).  This option is ideal for students who are new to their instrument and is open to student who are entering Kindergarten-12th Grade in the Fall.

The Rock Band option for each camp will play songs by the specific band, theme or artist and will play as a full band.  This option is ideal for students who have a little more experience on one of the instruments used in the rock band (guitar, drums, piano, bass or voice) but is not necessary.  This option is only open to students who are entering 3rd-12th Grade in the Fall.
