Dust off that old guitar, drum set, bass or PA system and give it new life in the hands of a low-income student. The Youth Music Project loans out instruments free of charge to students eligible for the free or reduced lunch program at school (a standard indicator of poverty). Your donated instruments literally give us the tools to reach some of our community’s most underserved students. Because the Youth Music Project is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation, your donation will also give you a sweet tax deduction (consult your tax advisor).
If you have an instrument that you would like to donate, please send us an email at donate@youthmusicproject.org. We’ll arrange a time for you to drop it off or for us to pick it up and we’ll give you a receipt for tax purposes.
If you would like to donate a piano, please fill out our piano evaluation form and our staff will get back to you right away. Unfortunately, because of limited space, we aren’t able to accept every potential piano donation. If we are able to accept your generous donation, we will give you a receipt for tax purposes.
If you don’t have an instrument to donate but still want to help, please consider making a montary donation or an in-kind donation from our wish list.
Thanks in advance for your help!
