The Youth Music Project’s mission is to provide outstanding rock, pop, and country music education for youth by offering free or low cost lessons, free instrument use, and exceptional performance opportunities.
The Youth Music Project is a nonprofit organization established by the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation. Over the past several years, the foundation has fine tuned the ideas and mission behind the Youth Music Project. In January 2012, the foundation hired Charles Lewis as Executive Director in order to implement the foundation’s vision in the community. Prior to working for the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation, Charles was the Founder & Executive Director of Ethos Music Center, a small nonprofit in Portland that became the largest music school in Oregon under Charles’ leadership.
The Youth Music Project offers music lessons year round for students in West Linn, Wilsonville, Oregon City, Lake Oswego, and surrounding communities.
