Spencer Herriges is an intern at the Youth Music Project, as well as a senior at Tualatin High School. He began playing guitar at age ten in a band with some school friends, and hasn’t stopped since. Throughout the last few years, he has played all over Portland in various bands, often appearing at the Hawthorne Theatre, Backspace Café, and the Crystal Ballroom. He is heavily involved in music education, and is an alumnus of the Portland School of Rock. For the last two years he has organized the Breakout Sessions, an all-student music festival to benefit local music education scholarships for kids and teens.
