Tate Peterson

Tate was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived in Oregon since 2000. He began playing guitar at age 10 and has been playing and performing music for over 20 years. He graduated from University of Oregon with a B.A. in music and has been teaching for over 10 years. In addition to teaching, he currently plays in several professional bands in the Portland area.
His primary focus is guitar, both acoustic and electric, with an emphasis in jazz, blues & rock, and a strong understanding of country, old time, bluegrass, reggae, Indian/world music and pop. He also teaches ukulele, bass, piano, voice, drum set, and music technology/recording techniques.
