Nick has been playing guitar since he was 9 and has been giving guitar lessons since high school. He started playing with his first band in 7th grade and has been in bands ever since. Music has always been an important part of his life and he loves sharing his appreciation of music with his friends and students. He started playing bass, piano, and drums in high school and has continued to pursue those instruments ever since.
Nick recently graduated from the University of Oregon where he studied guitar under Mike Denny & Don Latarsky and bass under Tyler Abbott. He plays a wide variety of musical styles ranging from folk to jazz and has extensive knowledge of music theory and its practical application to the guitar, bass, and piano for improvising & composing.
Songwriting has always been an important part of Nick’s musical experience. He believes that through songwriting we explore parts of ourselves that otherwise go unnoticed.
